In the 23 years since SXSW Interactive launched, Hugh Forrest has seen this incubator of cutting edge tech and digital creativity expand to become SXSW’s largest event.  Today, SXSW Interactive means five days of industry leaders, unbeatable lineups, and big-picture analysis of the future. But that all of that innovation (and the buzz surrounding it) doesn’t happen in a vacuum.  Join us as Hugh kicks off the New York Code + Design Academy’s Austin speaker series with a little about where we’ve been and where we’re headed, lots of talk about PanelPicker (SXSW’s unique panel selector), and your questions. Brought to you by NYCDA and hosted by our friends at IBM Design. – Doors @ 5:30 – Directions to IBM Campus: When you arrive to the IBM Campus, enter the parking structure at Gault Ln and Hobby Horse Ct. and walk between the buildings marked 901 and 902 and enter the building 903 by the Volley Ball courts. This is the easiest route to the IBM Design Studio located in Building 903. The campus will NOT have way finding so please review this map thoroughly and follow the directions here to find Building 903.
