Vishwanath Alluri
Vishwanath Alluri founded technology company IMISoft and then the communication platform IMImobile. He has built both into a multi-country and multi-million pound enterprise. He’s also an Author who wrote “The Enlightened Manager: A Transformative Approach to Work and Life.”
Vishwanath Alluri’s entrepreneurial journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to harness India’s intellectual potential and create globally relevant Intellectual Properties. In 1988, Vish founded IMISoft to develop engineering design products. Their solutions for transmission and telecom tower design were adopted by global giants like ABB and Hyundai. IMISoft soon earned a reputation for integrity and technical excellence, culminating in its acquisition by a Denmark-based engineering conglomerate in 2008.
In 1999, he founded IMImobile with a belief that mobile data would shape the future. What started as a vision in India grew into a global CPaaS leader with a presence in over 70 countries and backing from investors across India, the UK, and the US. In 2021, IMImobile was acquired by Cisco for $730 million—a milestone that validated both their technology and governance.
But his path has also been inward. Since 2000, the teachings of J. Krishnamurti have deeply influenced Vish worldview. In 2014, after IMImobile’s IPO on the London Stock Exchange, Vish stepped away from the corporate world to fully dedicate himself to the Krishnamurti Foundations—focused on education, inner inquiry, and rural development.
From code to contemplation, this has been a journey of building both technology and meaning.
