Having Real World Impact

Since implementing the Digital Works program, Connected Nation has helped secure more than 830 job placements (as of Sept. 2017) that can be performed from wherever there is broadband.
In doing so, we’ve helped improve the lives of individuals within many sectors of our communities: single parents; families in both urban and rural depressed areas; physically challenged individuals; seniors left widowed; individuals struggling with medical expenses; and so many others.

More About Connected Nation

Connected Nation is a 501(c)3 that began work in 2001 to bring access to vulnerable populations across Kentucky. Seeing a greater need, we soon expanded our work nationally. Leveraging our expertise in building public-private partnerships, Connected Nation helps local communities, state officials, providers, federal agencies, nonprofits, and others work together to create better places to live, work, and raise our families.

Over nearly two decades, our experience with lawmakers, federal and state policymaking, data and research, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), community engagement, the telcomm industry, and Internet Service Providers (ISP) has placed us in the unique position to more effectively create proactive change within both rural and urban communities. That includes through our Connected Community Engagement and Digital Works programs.
