New York Distance Learning Association (NYDLA) Selects BirdEye as National Partner for Reputation Marketing
NYDLA offers BirdEye’s reputation marketing platform to leading universities and K-12 across the U.S.
The New York Distance Learning Association (NYDLA), a leading association for distance learning organizations, today announced its partnership with reputation marketing leader BirdEye to offer state-of-the-art reputation marketing for its members — universities and K-12 across the US. The partnership brings together emerging leaders dominated by technological innovation and customer focus.
Prior to the advent of online education, selecting education providers was predominantly influenced by geographic proximity. Physical distance prescribed, and limited, student options. Now, with the general availability of online and distance learning, competition to enroll students is heating up beyond local, regional, and even national boundaries. What distinguishes one learning organization from another is no longer proximity, but strength of curriculum and faculty. And how are those strengths validated? Today, by modern day word-of-mouth — online reviews.
“Online reviews and ratings have revolutionized the way businesses acquire new customers — and the trillion dollar education market is no exception,” said Thomas A. Capone, Executive Director of the NYDLA. “We are excited to partner with BirdEye to offer our members state-of-the-art tools to gather and manage student reviews and market their positive reputation. With BirdEye, our members have access to advanced enterprise and competitor analytics to glean insight from student feedback across the Internet.
“The NYDLA.org are great partners for us as we expand in the education market,” said Naveen Gupta, CEO of BirdEye. “Millions of members rely on NYDLA.org to identify innovation trends and recommend best tools, and we’re thrilled that they have selected BirdEye as their reputation marketing partner. As for universities and K-12 institutions, by incorporating student feedback into their programs, they can separate from the pack to acquire new customers and loyal advocates.”

New York City – March 20th 2015

The New York Distance Learning Association (www.NYDLA.org) has announced today its strategic partnership with Mailify (www.Mailify.com).

Schools, colleges and universities have a plethora of email marketing tools to choose from. So, it’s a bold move for France-based Mailify to join the fray. The company, which has 25,000 users in Europe, has launched its cloud-based responsive email marketing software in the United States and opened their doors in New York City. The tool, designed for creating marketing campaigns and newsletters, includes hundreds of templates that adapt to a recipient’s device, providing the optimal view of an email whether the recipient views it on a desktop, smartphone, or tablet.
“The truth is, today’s K-12 college and university students live in a multi-screen, on-the-move world,” says Eric Krattenstein, Mailify’s CMO. “Responsive email design is about more than just looking good on any screen; it is about being accessible to your contacts whenever, wherever – delivering an experience that exceeds their expectations.”
The Mailify software also features functionalities such as geolocation targeting, A/B testing, and drag-and-drop email design capabilities, as well as email domain address autocorrect and multi-language support. “The NYDLA’s primary mission was to establish a forum dedicated to the free exchange of ideas and information between corporate, academic, and government professionals. Capone, Executive Director of the NYDLA.org. “ecommerce and the IoT (Internet of Things) is changing the way that we do business on a global basis.”
Over the coming years, purchasing trends will change at a fundamental level. Customers will expect options for where and how to buy: in-store or online; delivered or for pick-up.
Shopify has evolved from an ecommerce software provider to a commerce company that allows merchants to sell everywhere a customer wants to shop, whether it’s online, in store with Shopify POS, or on their smartphone with Shopify Mobile. Today, Shopify supports over 150,000 active stores, and has processed over $7B in sales from its network of entrepreneurs.
“Nearly a decade ago, we started an online store to sell snowboard equipment,” said Dan Eveleigh, Partner Program Lead at Shopify. “We could have listed our products on a number of marketplaces, but we wanted to create own our brand and build relationships with our customers. At the time, a tool like Shopify didn’t exist, so we built it for ourselves. We soon realized that the software was something many other entrepreneurs were looking for.”
Shopify has evolved from a team of five working out of a local coffee shop, to a team of over 600 working in four offices across Canada. “We’re really proud of our success and growth and we’ve worked hard to nurture our company values and culture,” said Eveleigh.
“It’s an exciting time to be in business, and our strategic partnership with Shopify allows NYDLA members to service clients of any size, from a small startup to large companies like Tesla, Budweiser, GE and the LA Lakers,” said Capone.
